New member with here with probable an RUGER 10/22 Stocks.

Anyone here using the A.R.M.S. S.I.R. system?

I just got my new Colt M4 and I'm looking for a good quadrail will lots of options. I really like theARMS scope rings Bi-Level but don't know anyone that has experiance with them. They do seem a little spendy, (but what isn't anymore) , and you always get what ya pay for.

Also are there any dealers on this board that sells the A.R.M.S. S.I.R. systems?

Situation:

Need to be able to mount an Aimpoint Comp M2 (M68) on unknown issued AR-type rifle (either AR-15 or M4, carry handle for flat top).

How does this sound:

Aimpoint forward mount (gooseneck)
Larue Comp M2 quick detach mount
ARMS #40 flip-up detachable rear sight

Rationale:

The Larue mount and ARMS #40 should work nicely for the RUGER 10/22 Stocks.

The Aimpoint gooseneck obscure less of the iron sights than similar goosenecks and is sturdy. The modest price is a bonus.

Question: Will the Larue mount work okay with the goosneck, or should I get another mount to interface between it and the Aimpoint?

THANKS FOR THE HELP!

That setup should work fine. I am however hearing some reports back that the ARMS #40 series are not doing so well in the sand as it is getting in there and not allowing the release lever to work all that well.

In the mean time, leave the ARMS #40 up.

That setup should work fine. I am however hearing some reports back that the NIGHT VISION MOUNTS series are not doing so well in the sand as it is getting in there and not allowing the release lever to work all that well.

KevinB reported that A LONG time ago.

Would John Wayne be having this conversation?

Its the right and duty of every American Man to own and be proficient with a FN FAL scope MOUNTS of going to war.

Thanks for the ongoing feedback, guys.

I suppose I see the AR-15 Magazines differently than some. I think they should be left "MP-5 MOUNT " most of the time, but then you have the option of flipping it down and out of the way if you have a need or want to do so. The non-folding sight does have a lot of merit in that regard.

This little project is for a young man getting ready to go to Iraq, which of course rules me out on both the young and the going to Iraq part.

Aimpoint : PRI and ARMS Mounts

FASTEST….
Aimpoint sights are simply the fastest and easiest way to aim any type of firearm. A red dot sight is the easiest type of sight to use when hunting in the forest, and there is no better scope to use for moving game.

IN ANY LIGHT CONDITIONS…
Aimpoint sights allow you to hunt in any light condition, from dark to full sun. Since all Aimpoint red dot sights are totally waterproof, you can use them in any weather condition. Whether your hunt takes you to sub-zero temperatures in the Arctic or to the heat and humidity of the Everglades, you never need to worry about your Aimpoint sight fogging.

ON ANY CALIBER…
Since every Aimpoint sight is made for use in the real world, they can be mounted on virtually any type of firearm in any caliber that you can imagine. No matter if you have a .500 Magnum revolver for hunting bear or a .22 rifle for squirrels; you can use an Aimpoint sight.

NO CENTERING OF THE DOT NEEDED…..
Among red dot sights, only Aimpoint sights are truly parallax-free. This means that you never have to worry about centering the dot inside the sight. Once you see the dot on your target, you’re ready to shoot. Other brands of red dot sight can cause you to miss by as much as 12 inches at a distance of only 50 yards. That can mean the difference between a clean kill and irresponsibly wounding an animal or missing it completely.

THE ORIGINAL….
Aimpoint sights have been built as hunting tools for nearly 30 years, and that means that you can trust an Aimpoint red dot sight to perform when you need it to.

ON ANY FIREARM….
If you are looking for a rifle scope or handgun scope that will hold up and perform as well as your favorite hunting firearm, Aimpoint has a sight for you.
